Rejenga Inc. (“us,” “we,” or “our”) operates the Budge AI mobile application and website (“Budge AI”).

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

The application of this policy is limited to persons over whom we have no direct control, employment, or management.

  1. Consent:

    By using Budge AI, you have consented to our Privacy Policy and that you have the legal capacity to give consent. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS Budge AI FURTHER.
  2. Your Right Not To Consent:

    You have the right not to consent to our use of your information. With many types of data, we’ve provided you with the ability to simply delete it if you don’t want us processing it anymore. For other types of data, we’ve given you the ability to stop the use of your data by disabling the feature altogether. You can do all these things in the app. If there are other types of information you don’t agree with us processing, you can inform us at support@budgeai.com.
  3. Information Collection:

    Information we collect can be grouped under three categories:
    • Information you provide us.
    • Information we get when you use our services.
    • Information we get from third parties, such as advertisers.
    1. Information You Provide Us Voluntarily.

      Personal Information. When you use our services, we collect personal information that you provide to us voluntarily. For example, most of our services require you to set up a Budge AI account, so we need to collect a few important details about you, such as your name, username, password, phone number, email address, birthday, age, gender, date of birth.

      You may also provide us with whatever information you send through our Budge AI services. Users who view your content on our app or website may deal with the content in any form, such as saving or copying. In this case, it is thereby advised that you do not send messages or share content that you would not want others to share or save.

      Again, if you contact customer support or communicate with us in any other way, any information you share may be collected.

    2. Information We Get From You When Using Our Services.

      Generally, when you use our services, we collect information about the services you use and how you use them.

      Below, we explain, in detail, general types of information we collect when you use our services:

      • Device Information: We collect from you information about the devices you use. In this case, we collect: information about your hardware and software, such as hardware model, operating system version, device memory, ad IDs, unique app IDs, Bluetooth ID; installed apps; smartphones type; device IDs; mobile phone number; unique device, browser type, language, battery level and time zone;
      • Payment and Transaction Information: To provide automatic tracking, we collect only the specific payment details found in the content you provide — such as transaction amounts, vendors, and dates from receipts or confirmation emails. We do not collect your full bank account numbers or login credentials, and your bank accounts remain unlinked.
      • Financial Information from Text Messages or File Documents: You can choose to provide us with access to your SMS messages, emails, and uploaded documents (such as receipts, PDFs, and spreadsheets). If this access is granted, we automatically extract only financial or transaction data from this content to track your spending, help you create budgets, and provide interactive financial insights — all without the need to link your bank accounts. This is how services make managing your finances simpler and more intuitive.
      • Personal Expense Information: When we extract financial data from your content, we collect specific details about your personal expenses. This includes transaction information for bills, food, groceries, and other personal purchases, etc. which we use to power features like spending analysis and budget creation.
      • Location Information: When you use our services, we may collect information about your location, including name, place of residence, place of business, etc. With your permission, we may also collect information about your precise location using methods that include GPS, wireless networks, cell towers, Wi-Fi access points, and other sensors, such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, and compasses.
      • Camera and Photos and File Documents: Some of our services, especially on Budge AI, require us to collect images, documents and other information from your device’s camera, photos and files. For example, you won’t be able to scan QR codes unless Budge AI accesses your camera. Any media uploaded in this fashion will be collected and stored on our servers. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may simply decline the access; or do so through your device’s settings.
      • Push Notifications: We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or the App. If you wish to opt-out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device’s settings.
      • Information Collected Automatically by Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies: Like most online services and mobile applications, we may use cookies and other technologies, such as web beacons, web storage, and unique advertising identifiers, to collect information about your activity, browser, and device. We may also use these technologies to collect information when you interact with services we offer through one of our partners, such as advertising and commerce features. For example, we may use information collected on other websites to show you more relevant ads. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually remove or reject browser cookies through the settings on your browser or device. Keep in mind, though, that removing or rejecting cookies could affect the availability and functionality of our services.
      • Information about your wireless and mobile network connections: such as mobile phone number, service provider, IP address, and signal strength.
      • Codes, passwords, or usernames: shared with the Budge AI app when using services.
      • Information relating to any mobile marketing campaign launched by Budge AI.
      • Personal information: relating to place of residence, nationality, date of birth, and e-mail address, Identity card details, etc.
      • Log Information: We also collect log information when you use our website, such as: Details about how you’ve used our services; device information, such as your web browser type and language; access times; pages viewed; IP address; identifiers associated with cookies or other technologies that may uniquely identify your device or browser; and pages you visited before or after navigating to our website.
      • We also collect information you share when you communicate with any of our contact persons.
      • We collect information relating to the saving or activation of customer loyalty cards and services for marketing purposes.
      • We also collect information relating to the Google Firebase Software Development Kit (SDK) of Google Inc. (“Google”) in the Budge AI app, in particular, information on the analytics ID (random value on the basis of which Budge AI can identify the customer); the client ID (random value which identifies the used device and allows Google to summarize sent events in a device session) which, however, does not allow inferences to be made about the user’s device key device details (brand, type, screen, memory) information on the platform (e.g. iOS and Android version); the version of the installed Budge AI app; the type and version of the used Internet browser, where applicable.
      • Information from other services on Budge AI products may require you to provide us with a debit or credit card number and its associated account information. We collect this information too.
    3. Information We Collect from Third Parties

      We may collect information about you from other users, our affiliates, and third parties. The following are some instances: If you link your Budge AI account to another service (such as a third-party application), we may receive information from the other service, such as how you use that service; advertisers, app developers, publishers, and other third parties may also share information with us. We may use this information, among other things, to help target or measure the performance of advertisements. If another user uploads their contact list, we may combine information from that user’s contact list with other information that we have collected about you.

  4. Use of Information

    We use the information we collect primarily to provide, maintain, and improve the Budge AI services you request. The core purpose of processing your data is to deliver personalized financial insights without linking your bank accounts. Below is a more detailed breakdown of the specific purposes for which your information is used.

    We use your information to:

    • Develop, operate, and deliver our products, including automatically tracking your spending, creating budgets, and generating financial insights by extracting data from the messages and documents you provide.
    • Enable payment processing for services within the app, such as using a payment feature or paying merchants, where applicable.
    • Send you service-related communications, such as responses to your support inquiries. With your permission, we may also send you promotional communications about our services, for which you can always opt-out.
    • Customize the content and insights we show you, such as spending categories and budget recommendations, based on your extracted financial data.
    • Monitor trends, usage, and performance to relentlessly improve and protect our products and services.
    • Enhance the safety and security of our products, verify your identity, and prevent unauthorized or illegal activity.
    • Provide, improve, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising services and ad targeting on our platform and other services. This includes, only with your separate permission, the use of precise location information to show you more relevant ads.
    • Enforce our Terms of Service and other usage policies, and comply with applicable legal requirements.
  5. Sharing of the information you provide us.

    At Budge AI, we are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell your personal financial data. The core information you provide — such as the contents of your messages, emails, and documents — is used solely by us to deliver your financial insights and is not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes:

    We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:

    • With Your Consent: We will share your personal information with third parties when you direct us to do so, such as when you connect your Budge AI account to another third-party application
    • With Trusted Service Providers: We share information with vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to perform work on our behalf. These parties are contractually bound to handle your data securely and use it only for the purposes we specify, such as: Cloud Hosting and Infrastructure; Data Analysis and Service Improvement; Customer Support; Ad Measurement and Analytics (using aggregated, non-personally identifiable information only).
    • For Legal, Safety, and Security Reasons: We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to: i) Comply with a valid legal process, government request, or applicable law. ii) Protect the rights, property, and safety of Budge AI, our users, or the public. iii) Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues. iv) Enforce our Terms of Service.
    • In Connection with a Business Transfer: If Budge AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the new entity, subject to the same privacy commitments.
    • As Aggregated or Anonymized Data: We may share aggregated or anonymized information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. This data is used for purposes such as industry analysis, research, and benchmarking.
  6. Governing Principles of Data Processing.

    All information we collect from you on Budge AI shall be collected and processed in accordance with legitimate and lawful purposes consented to by you herein, provided that further processing may be done only for archiving, scientific research, historical research, or statistical purposes for public interest in line with extant regulations and laws. Personal data shall be adequate, accurate, and without prejudice to the dignity of the human person. Personal data shall be stored only for the period within which it is reasonably needed, according to an existing laws, and shall be secured against all foreseeable hazards and breaches, such as theft, cyberattack, viral attack, dissemination, manipulations of any kind, damage by rain, fire, or exposure to other natural elements. Our data collection shall reflect that we owe a duty of care to you. We shall be accountable in line with extant laws and regulations.

  7. Transfer of Data.

    Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. If you are located outside Nigeria or Ghana and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Nigeria or Ghana and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy, followed by your submission of such information, represents your agreement to that transfer. Budge AI will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. No transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless adequate controls are in place, including the security of your data and other personal information.

  8. Data Security.

    We are deeply committed to protecting the integrity and confidentiality of your personal information. To do this, we have implemented comprehensive security measures designed to safeguard your data against loss, misuse, alteration, and unauthorized access.

Upon request to close an account, your account will be closed, but this closure will not imply the deletion of the historical records of the account for the reasons already indicated. However, unless required by law or law enforcement officials and/or regulators, further processing of account-related personal information will cease upon termination.

    In certain circumstances, as provided by the Data Protection Regulations of Nigeria or other applicable law, you may object to the processing of your personal information. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you have certain rights, depending on your locations, regarding the personal information we hold about you. Subject to local data protection laws, these rights may include.

    • The Right to Rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or complete information you believe is incomplete.

  14. Choice/Opt-Out.

    Budge AI offers all users the ability to opt out of receiving non-essential communications (promotional, marketing-related) from us on behalf of our partners, and from us in general, after creating an account. If you would like to remove your contact information from all Budge AI lists and newsletters, please visit https://trybudge.ai/ or contact us through support@budgeai.com. In the future, you will also be able to unsubscribe by clicking the one-click unsubscribe button at the bottom of each email.

  15. Third-Party Service Providers.

    We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our service (“service providers”), to provide the service on our behalf, to perform service-related services, or to help us analyze how our service is used. These third parties only have access to your personal data to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purposes.

  16. Remedies, Questions, and Contact.

    In order to use Budge AI, you must be of legal age or older according to your country’s laws. If you are under the legal age, you must have your parent or legal guardian’s permission to use Budge AI. If we learn that we have collected or received personal information from you while being under the legal age without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a person under the legal age stated above, please contact us at support@budgeai.com. You must also not access Budge AI or accept these Terms if you are a person who is either barred or otherwise legally prohibited from receiving or using the Service or any Products of Budge AI under the laws of Nigeria.

    Budge AI reserves the right to make changes and/or updates to this privacy policy from time to time, and the latest version of this policy will be posted on our websites. We will notify users of significant changes via our in-app notice or through email. However, you are advised to periodically review this privacy policy for any changes. Changes to this privacy policy are effective when posted on our web pages.

  19. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

    This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with the laws of both the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Ghana. For any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this policy, we encourage you to contact us first to seek an informal resolution.

    If we are unable to resolve the matter informally, the governing law and the venue for legal proceedings will be determined as follows:

    • For Users in Nigeria: If you are a resident of Nigeria or primarily access our services from Nigeria, this Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You agree that any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts located in Lagos, Nigeria.
